November 1 - November 30It's that time of year again! For those of you unfamiliar with our personal spin on NaNoWriMo, you can check out the FAQ for answers to commonly asked questions. For the rest of you, I hope you're ready to write your butts off.
Our site goal this month is 500,000 words. Individual word counts will be measured in increments of 15,000 words, but you are welcome to set your own goals and write as much or as little as you choose! Just remember that every little bit contributes to the success of the group, so even if your individual count is small, it can still make a real difference!
For every 1,000 words you write, you earn another pixel on your word counter.
Participants who write 15,000 words or more will also receive a badge for their OOC acccount!
NaNo begins 00:00 AM, NOVEMBER 1ST wherever you are and ends 23:59 PM, NOVEMBER 30TH wherever you are. This means that any in-character posting you do during the month of November in your time zone counts towards your final total. We are on the honor system here. I will not be double checking word counts or time stamps (unless I spot an obvious mistake).
If you have any questions or need any assistance, please contact Kris. Good luck, everyone!

Final Word Count: 361,503 WordsAnother November has come and gone, and I trust you are all as exhausted as I am. This month really pushed us the limit, and though we did not reach our overall site goal, there was some real accomplishment here. Out of fifteen active participants, we had nine people "win" by reaching the minimum goal of 15,000 words, and four reach rainbow! The average number of words written by our fifteen participants was 21,400 (which you will notice is above the minimum goal). It's always hard to predict how many people we'll have participate in NaNo, which can make arranging a site goal a little bit difficult, but I think it's still safe to say that there was a great effort made and, most importantly, a lot of excellent writing done this month!
